Three luxury walks with unrivaled views

Aschworth High Country Station is a 6000 acre merino farm in Marlborough’s high country, offering three of the most picturesque, luxury walks in New Zealand. 

Day 1 will see you climb to heights that allow breathtaking views over Marlborough to the Richmond Ranges and over the hills into the neighbouring Waihopai Valley. 

Day 2 takes you to the summit of Wards Peak, making your way through stunning native bush and past some gorgeous swimming holes along the way. 

Day 3 brings you back to the homestead through the middle of our farm, offering views into the Brancott catchment.

Each of our luxury walking days can be tailored to suit your fitness level and needs. Please discuss with us on booking. We’ll also take care of the heavy lifting, transporting your overnight bags to and from the luxury accommodation.

Two nights of luxurious glamping accommodation

Relax in our indulgent, luxury hunting tents nestled on the rolling hills of our high country merino farm. Think wool insulation, wool-topped beds, woolen blankets and beautiful linens - stunning natural fibres to keep you comfortable and warm. 

Based on 1920s deer stalker’s tents, each glamping tent has been modified with modern comforts in mind, right down to wool-insulated wooden floors, they offer true camping luxury.

Relax with friends and fellow walkers in our beautiful communal space. This well appointed hunting lodge is complete with well designed bathroom facilities, complete with local toiletries, a relaxing lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a gas fireplace.

Gourmet meals from dawn until dusk

Our gorgeous friends from Kaiaka Catering are known in Marlborough for producing stunning, fresh food using local ingredients wherever possible. They provide all meals for our guests, including breakfast, morning tea, snacks, packed lunches for your walks, afternoon tea, dinner and dessert. Delicious, nourishing food to keep you fuelled throughout.

• Walking sticks: these are compulsory on our tracks to help you navigate some of the steeper sections. Believe us, you’ll be glad you’ve got them!

• Secure parking at the homestead

• Overnight baggage transport - you’ll only need to carry a day pack

• Track maps and staff on hand 24/7 should you need any assistance
